Juvenile & Prison Program
Federal and state crime statistics revealed that the recidivism rate for incarcerated youth and adults in the United States has more than doubled within the past ten years. Lack of various basic life skills, education, and conflict resolution techniques have greatly attributed to this increase.
Breaking the Cycle, One Choice at a Time
Federal and state crime statistics reveal a sobering reality: the recidivism rate for incarcerated youth and adults in the United States has more than doubled within the past ten years. Without intervention, the cycle continues—prison doors revolving, lives stuck on repeat, communities left unsafe.
The root causes? Research points to a lack of basic life skills, limited education, and an inability to resolve conflict constructively. These gaps leave individuals unprepared for life inside and unequipped for success upon release.
Split 2nd is committed to changing these statistics. Through twice-monthly volunteer visits at local detention centers, Anthony Bryant provides mentorship, job placement assistance, and practical training that prepares incarcerated individuals for a different future.
